Micro update pod-racer-hover-board

Heyho,

again just a micro update on the pod-racer-hover-board. I hope Alex get's the pod racer done till the Hamburger Tactica. Yesterday Alex prepared the pod racer for painting and asked me to pre-paint it with the airbrush for further detail work.

Alex wanted it to have a bluish metal like look similar to the spartan girl. His dark whispers guided my hand while I airbrushed the lights and shadows onto his pod racer.

The pre-painting should make the further work on the hover board much less time consuming.

WIP Spartan-Pod-Racer-Hover-Board

Heyho,

just a small update to fill the snowy weekend. We had our weekly painters get-together on wednesday. This time we managed to continue with the podracer-hoverboard-hybrid for the Spartan girl Alex is working on.

A long time ago the idea was born to put her on a Star Wars-like board that is connected to pod racer combustion engines in front of it using tubes. As mentioned in an earlier blog post we mainly used Necron bits from Marcs bits box for the pod racer/hover board.

Klaus from http://t-raumschmiede.blogspot.de/ was so kind to send us his tube tool (see http://www.masq-mini.com) to create the connecting tubes. Unfortunately it was not as easy as it seems to be to use this tool. After some curses to the modeling gods Alex managed to produce two acceptable tubes.

We connected the tubes to the hover board and refined the junctions.

I'm still working on my Helldorado Immortals crew...

Helldorado Soul Carrier

Heyho,

The Hamburger Tactica (www.hamburger-tactica.de/) is imminent and I'm painting more or less every evening to finish my Helldorado Immortals army. To make the presentation perfect a display board for the army would be magnificent but time is running. Let's have a look at the next finished model - the Immortals Soul Carrier.

Helldorado Peasant

Heyho,

here we go again. Maybe this get's boring but I try to finish my whole Immortals army until the Hamburger Tactica starts (http://www.hamburger-tactica.de/). My local painting group will have an 'exhibitor'-table to show our miniatures and give some painting advice. So let's have a look at the recently finished Helldorado Immortals peasant.
Unfortunately my peasant has a deformed face as a huge lump of tin ruined the complete face. To rescue the model I used some PVA glue and applied several dots on the lump. Afterwards I tried to paint them as warts which turned out to look really cool - at least in my opinion as this gives the miniature an even more bizarre look.
As you can see in the reference image the original model has no lump of tin in the face.
